booking in appt - new scan offered in glasgow?

I have just received my booking in letter for my 12 week scan at the new victoria - included with all the information was a leaflet about the 20 week anomaly scan, it says ' all pregnant women are offered the scan as part of the pregnancy screening programme.'
Is this new? I was under the impression that unless there were concerns or family history you wouldn't be offered this scan. I would really like to know if anyone has had their apt there and can shed some light on this - I really dont want to fork out for a private scan if I am able to get one on the nhs, many thanks for any info

Yes this is new in Glasgow, all pregnant women are meant to get 20 week scans but they didn't do them in Glasgow until the closure of the Queen Mother's - it's totally normal. Think Glasgow was one of the last places in the UK that DIDN'T offer the 20 week scan so it's good they have finally introduced them!
