hi guys! chute for free, for older children say over 3 years old, or 2 years old, depending how gung-ho they are! i got this when my dd1 was 2, dd2 is now 5.5 and they dont play on it much, we have a small garden so its taking up room that we could do with, we have had 5 years out of it and its still in great nick, so its yours if you can come and collect it! orange and blue, sturdy, its about 4 or 5 feet high. we are in EH12

Hi Nailpolish
Am also in EH12, does your chute dismantle? Sadly I dont have a garden but my friend does, going to ask her if she would like it, if that's ok?

nailpolish · 10/04/2010 10:08

yes no probs - i dont mind who takes it, i just want it to go to someone with children - no point in it going to the tip when others can have fun from it

i think it does dismantle - dont know if it would fit in car though even when dismantled - chute bit and steps must be 6 feet - and they dont go smaller unfortunately

i am up clermiston road - it might be fine to be carried a short distance....

or it would fit in a van

I am in The Paddockholm, so really near! God I wish I had a garden, DD is 2 and would love this! Ah, six feet, no no good for my friend then, she wouldn't get it in her car sadly!

Are you on Freegle (Freecycle) if not I am, if you'd like me to sort out a pickup for you, I'm sure this would get snapped up!

nailpolish · 10/04/2010 10:56

i have used freecycle before, gave away some other garden toys, person who i gave them to hassled me for ages afterwards as i hadnt cleaned the toys! i was giving them away for free fgs - it wasnt a nice experience so im staying away from freecycle but thanks for the offer

not that they were caked in mud or anything - had some scratches and bits of grass stains on them - the person turned up and was quite angry but stood and looked at them for ages and decided to take them anyway - i wish i told him to get lost tbh

What a crap experience!
Maybe post in chat so more people see your kind offer? Would be a real shame if you had to chuck it.

nailpolish · 10/04/2010 23:20

yes ill put it in chat, thanks

What about putting it on the free to a good home section of Netmums for Edinburgh?

rookiemater · 12/04/2010 08:42

What is a chute [nosey smiley} ?

rookiemater · 12/04/2010 08:43

Oh and MadameOvary, I used to live in The Paddockholm too, spooky coincidence.

Sorry none of this is chute related as live in Fairmilehead and do not have huge van sized car.

nailpolish · 12/04/2010 17:20

a chute is a thing children slide down. has a ladder at one side for them to climb up, ykwim!

like you get in a playpark, only mine is smaller than the ones you get in the park, obv

OP posts:
nailpolish · 12/04/2010 17:21

he chute itself is only 4 feet tall, but the slide bit of it must be 6 feet as it is on a slope, obv, and doesnt fold up any smaller im afraid

Ah gotcha, hope you find a happy home for it.
