Nursery Waiting Lists

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 02/04/2010 15:24

Does anyone have any experience of

a) how long waiting lists tend to be for nursery (for an 11month yr old)

b) how waiting lists normally operate i.e. can you specify a particular date, or is it a matter of timing your application?

c) Any comments on Careshare in the West of Scotland Science Park? (my closest/easiest nursery)

d) Any other nursery recommendations in the maryhill area?

Hi, in my experience waiting lists are at least 6 months long...that's for west end nurseries.
No idea about Careshare, but I do know that you can specify a particular date with waiting lists, rather than fitting in with when the next place is available.

I don't want to get MN in to trouble or myself in to trouble so I will say 2 sentences and you can read in to them what you like and feel free to contact me off board

I very briefly worked there.

On another thread it mentions the community halls nursery is good - have you looked into them? Or any others?

It was just a very close and convenient nursery for me - am looking more into childminders now as they are cheaper Thanks for the heads up.
