Hi all was wondering if anyone knows if the above nursery is any good - i believe they are on hartington grove (off hills road)? I'm looking for a new nursery for my 18 month old and around south of the city as we have just moved that way. Alternatively if anyone can recommend any good nurseries down this way, that would be great! Thanks.

It's lovely but they only take them from 2 1/2 years. Also, if you are working the timing might not be great as they only open at 9.15.

My son is at Patacakes which is on Malta road near Mill Road. He loves it! Unfortunately it is quite hard to get into, we had his name down from when I was pregnant and still only just got in. Worth a try though.

Also I think Harvey Road nursery is near there, I can't recommend it personally but I think I have heard it is good on the grapevine. I also think it was quite expensive, and that you had to send them full-time or just mornings/afternoons.

thanks neolara and summerlightning - will check out patacakes but you are probably right about trying to get in. we really need somewhere ideally that covers the half term and summer holidays as we work but not sure about many places as we havent had any personal feedback. thanks again for your comments x

We use baby unicorns but they don't cover school holidays. Joint Colleges Nursery is also good.

DO NOT USE KIDS UNLIMITED - have heard soms horror stories

Cambridge Day Nursery on Milton Road. Has just had a really good ofsted after a very poor one last year, and my dd loves it - as do I! It's full time 8 - 6 and open through hols. I would highly recommend.

We also used Baby Unicorns - v nice but has holidays.

Several people have highly recommended the nursery at Anglia Ruskin to me. You don't need a connection to the uni.

Seconding cazzybabs - don't be tempted to use Kids Unlimited.

re Kids Unlimited I have heard that the one on the Science Park is quite good, but heard bad things about the other one (is it Addenbrookes)?

Heard bad things (many many bad things) about the Addenbrokes one, but also the Wolfson Court one. Dunno about Science Park.
