Gower Primary School?

Hello,
Would love to know if anyone has any experience with Gower Montessori School? It looks great on paper, but I'm unable to visit it (currently abroad). I'm familiar with most of the other local schools private/non, but somehow missed this one.
Thanks in advance for any insights!
Natalie

I know someone who had children at the Gower and were very happy with it. Unfortunately they had to switch school as one of them lost their job and it was all too expensive.

we had our son there for a year and a half - we loved it, he would still be there but for the credit crunch. bes nurser in area, will find it hard sending him elsewhere

My son goes there and loves it. The teachers are great and it has a real community feel.

He went to a different Montessori nursery (not the Gower School nursery) and it was brilliant for developing a calmer attitude and longer attention span. We were very keen to find a primary Montessori to continue with.

The Gower primary is expensive but worth it. Their after school clubs are good also with children taking a different class each day from French, swimming, football, acting, choir, crafts, dance and Mandarin.

Academically, my son is 5 but reads to the equivalent of grade 4 at a state school. He's also learning his time tables already (which I think happens around age 8 at a state school). He's by no means the smartest kid in his class. These levels seem to be typical for Montessori taught kids.

My only complaint is that the school building is quite small. The children are taken daily to local parks for outdoor play time and longer sports sessions weekly but there is no playground at the school itself.
