Meet Up Next Friday

Hi everyone! I have been a bit rubbish with checking in on mumsnet lately. Just skimmed through the recent posts and noticed (I think) that there seem to be quite a few new people and many want to meet up in the afternoon and do something adventure land ish.

How about next Friday (27th March?) If the weather is nice we could go to Castle Park and if not we could go to Adventure Land? I would probably rock up from about 13.00 as I would have to leave at 14.45 to get DD from school - however anyone else could just cruise along when they can make it...

By the way I have a DD (5 years, a DS (4 years) and another DS (5 months). Currently on maternity leave but I normally work 3 days a week.

Hopefully we can get a few of us together!

Pooter if you need a lift let me know cos I am currently driving a tank with much room.

Sounds great Lucyfer. Ta for the lift offer - i actually started driving again this week, so no problems. Hope we can go to Castle park - i have missed teh outdoors.

We would probably be able to come at 1.30/2 ish and only stay for an hour and a half ish - I dont like to stay out too long whilst the baby is so little.

Hope to see lots of people there - i can offer a cuddle of a newborn to tempt you...

I imagine that I wont make it...but if I get a sudden burst of energy I'll come along

Hello, next Friday is the 27th I might pop along as I am off that day although I will be child-less as both mine go to nursery on a Friday - is that ok?

I would have loved to join you but unfortunately I have my father coming to visit from Spain next Friday for just a couple of days. But please let me know when the next afternoon meet is and hopefully I can join you then. I can do anytime during school holidays but only afternoons during term time. Hope to meet you all soon.

I shall still be going as planned and hope to see some friendly faces there! I reckon the weather is just about going to be ok for the park but will check the forecast in the morning.

OK, will check in tomorrow. We will more likely be there if going to Adventureland as am feeling lazy and put off by walk from station but will cross fingers for good weather for you all anyway! x

hi - we are going to little bugs club at fingeringhoe nature reserve (me and kids on own for first time!!!! aaaggghhhh!!) so i will see how knackered i am after that, but hope to make it. Are we meeting at the playground in castle park? Actually theres no point in me asking that question as i wont be able to get on a computer before i am due to be at the park!

Hi the weather looks lovely for this afternoon so me and my DS's will be heading to castle park. Saz - normally i would have offered to pick you up from the station because i have 7 seats in my car now. However, I had forgotten that it goes in the garage to have the parking sensors fixed today!!! Hope you still come - would be great to see and the little ones.

Hope to see everyone else that expressed an interest too - with or without kids!

sorry - being sole carer for two this morning wiped me out. why is it that ds decides to run very far and fast away from me when im carrying dd in a sling and cant run?

Sorry couldn't make it. Case of lazyitis. Hope you all had fun. Will host over Easter holidays sometime. x
