Anyone live near to Braintree?

Hi there. I live in Braintree and have a 4 year old daughter and 6 week old daughter. My eldest daughter is at pre-school in the mornings so I am pretty much tied to home until I have picked her up but I am always looking to get out and about in the afternoons. If there is anyone else in the area who would like to meet up to have some grown up conversation along with the day to day baby talk, please let me know :-)

Hi Debs - i have a three year old DS and a 3wk old DD. We tend to meet in the mornings - but really i think afternoons would be a good idea because all of the clubs and activities seem to be in the mornings and there is a bit of a dearth of things to do in the afternoons.

Maybe we could all go to that fantastic park in Braintree one afternoon - teh one with the windmill and all the bizarre things to do. I cant drive for a couple of weeks due to caesarian, but when the weather warms up a bit and im more confident in my stitches I would be up for that.

Do you mean the Discovery Park at Great Notley? It is probably good to wait for a nice day for that as it is very open and not so nice in the cold wind. We go up there quite a lot though and my 4 year old loves it!
I had a c-section too, by the way, with both of my daughters so we have something in common :-) I have just started to drive again so thankfully I can get out and about again. Let me know when you fancy meeting up.

I am not far from Braintree either. I live at the end of the A120 near Marks tey.

I 2nd the Discovery Park for an afternoon...but I need to wait to give birth before I can make it round there. I just hope I don't end up have a CS and being house bound for 6 weeks!

I'm up for that too although I'll need to be careful that I'm getting back in time for the school run. Mung if you need help getting anywhere give me a shout as I can get all of our kids in the car if necessary!
