St George's on Grace Road seems to be the preferred choice amongst people I know but it's off Aylestone Road rather than London Road so it might not be the right part of LE2 for you.

Our 18 month DD goes to St Georges on Aylestone Rd/Grace Rd & she's really happy there - had all the usual anxieties before she started - she was quite a fussy eater, would only sleep after a breast feed etc, but she's had no problems at all & the staff seem really lovely & supportive. Would definitely recommend.

Also have friends who use Little Acorns on London Road & are very happy with it, and I do know several people in LE2 who use Purple Rocket in Thurnby coz they think it's worth the trek (it is supposed to be fantastic, but we're happy just where we are!)

Hope that helps

We don't live in leicester anymore but before we left 2 years afo, I had DD all set up to go to the purple rocket - was very impressed but then we had to move.

Try Childspace in Knighton, small but really friendly.

We took our boys out of St Georges on Grace Rd - numerous issues over the years. DS2 is now at Knighton Day Nursery and it's worlds apart from St Georges IMO.

Blossoms is lovely - long waiting list though. Acorns is nice too. Have friends with LO's at those 2.
