Hi,

I have a 5 month old DD and am currently on maternity leave and was wondering if there were any mums in the Leyton/Walthamstow area who wanted to meet with their babies in baby friendly places in the area

Hello Sabs - I live in Walthamstow but with older dcs now and working pretty much full-time. I know the NCT's pretty active round here though, if you like that kind of thing? There's also a toy library in E17 which lots of people go to. Also, on Fridays there's a new music group at Peterhouse community centre, which is a nice place.

I'll try and find out from local friends with babies a bit more about what's going on!

onebatmother Just wanted to apologise for not responding to your message

I've been going to lots of activities organised by my local children's centre and have also been in touch with the NCT. I havent been to the toy library yet but have heard lots about it

Another reason I posted on here was because I thought it would be nice to meet local MN'ers I did post in the meet-up section but didnt get a response lol

Hi Sabs,

I've just joined mumsnet.com today as I am tired of being isolated at home I have a son who is almost 2 years I work part-time, 23, single, living in Leyton.

I'm looking for another mommy to be outdoors more, socialize and broaden circle of friends.

hello!
I finally had my baby girl (after going 12 days overdue) last week and look forward to meet up with local mums this summer. I live on the Leyton/Leytonstone border, so I'm happy to meet up in either or Walthamstow for a coffee.

SabsFabulous · 21/06/2010 22:46

sammikat congratulations on your baby girl How is it all going?

Hi to chuchusmummy too. Maybe we can arrange a meet-up soon?

I know I shouldnt promote other sites on here, but netmums is really good for meeting mums locally. The chingford branch are arranging a meetup at Tumble in the Jungle next Tuesday morning. Maybe we can meet there? You dont have to be living in Chingford to join

thanks sabsfabulous
its going pretty well--we're getting the hang of breastfeeding and she's actually sleeping most of the night (perhaps this won't last for long?). But is it wrong that I already feel kind of isolated at home, and she's only two weeks old?

I'll definitely check out netmums--thanks!

I'm up for a meetup anytime during the week... hope to meet you all soon

-Sam
