Nurseries in Shandon / Merchiston

Love to hear any recommendations / opinions on nurseries in Shandon / Merchiston area. Thanks!

From all that I hear, the Corner House is very good. (one on Spylaw Road and another on Colinton Road)

my friend's lo is at Little Monkeys on Craiglockhart Terrace and he is very happy there.

I have also heard good things about the Corner House.

There is also Forbes Nursey in Bruntsfield which comes highly recommended by two friends.

I had my baby booked into Little Monkeys and had arranged this in April 09 (with a letter of confirmation received and deposit paid). He was due to start in March this year but his place was cancelled by Little Monkeys with 2 weeks' notice. I can not tell you how upset I was with this and the distress it caused me.

I was able to obtain a place at both Melville House and Cornerhouse, both of which I'd happily recommend!

My son goes to Melville house and I'd throughly recommend it. He's been there since he was 5 months and the staff are lovely.

Cranley nursery on craiglocakart avenue is excellent and get consistently high marks from the inspectors.
