Childcare panic!

Hello girls,
I was wondering if anyone can reccomend a good childminder? I am going back to work in August and have my son's name down at Pound Park but appreciate that it is unlikely we will get in even though he was only six weeks old when we signed up. I also have our name down at Sherrington but the latest Ofsted report is only satisfactory which makes me less than keen. I have rung around of couple of other nurseries today but many of them have crazy year-long waiting lists. My son will be a year when I go back to work any suggestions and reccommednations would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Caroline.

There is a good childminder's network that meets at PoundPark nursery, I think they meet on Tuesdays - but call the nursery they should be able to tell you. I think you could contact the coordinator there and they'd put you in touch with several minders.
I have a brilliant one, but am based further out in Abbey Wood. If you were ok to drive for drops/pickups I can give you her details. A friend uses these childminders and is very happy.

Hi, I don't know about childminders, but my son went to Early Years Childcare, in Antelope rd, Woolwich Dockyard. They might have a place, the staff are lovely and do great activities. Also, you can park the car there and get the train to work if u need to as the station is a few mins walk away x
