I just wondered whether anyone knows about this.
I'm booked in for a c-section on Friday at the RBH, but it is riddled with norovirus and they're only allowing partners to visit.
I have conflicting feelings about this. My partner and I both have divorced parents, whihc means there are four sets of grandparents, all desperate to visit. As a way of dealing with this, we invited my partner's mum to stay while I was in hospital, mainly so she could visit, see the baby, and I wouldn't have to deal with her when I got home.
Then my dad and step-mother decided they'd come for the weekend as well, and are booked into a hotel. (I didn't really wnat this, but it didn't occur to them to ask!)
And then there's my own mum, who lives locally and has been a huge help through my pregnancy and who is beside herself with excitement at the prospect of her grandbaby, and really, really wants to see her the day she's born.
It's the fact that my mum might not be able to visit that bothers me. The rest can bog off, but I'd really like my mum around.
Does anyone have any idea whether they might let me have two visitors? Or if there's any hope at all of the hospital being clear by Friday?
