Moving from Plymouth - with 2 year old, HELP!

Hi girls,
My hubby & I are going to be moving to Northumberland with our 2yr old daughter sometime in the next few months, my hubby works in Blyth, but I've never even visited the area before!!
Can you recommend nice areas, with good children's centres / nursery's / schools, ideally away from the city centre.
Any help & advice gratefully received!!

Hi Claire, ive just joined mumsnet. I live in the Washington area but used to live at Seaton sluice, not far from Blyth. I don't know much about the Blyth area but if you head towards the coast, ie. Whitley Bay,Cullercoats,Tynemouth there are lots of nice coffee shops,softplays and things to do with your LO but im not sure about childrens centres. Hopefully by now you have found some anyway :) if i can help anymore pls get in touch. I also have a (nearly) 2 year old and sometimes come over to the coast so could always meet up for cuppa :)
