Am stuck at home with baby on Kemptown/central Brighton border.. anyone know of any groups I can go to that are not too far away?

Baby is 8months now - so a music group would be really good.. or any baby groups.. especially looking out for things that are drop in and in the afternoon...

Thanks in advance!

off the top of my head : baby boogie at the library is great. also tarnerland children's centre runs lots of baby groups - a really nice arty one on a friday morning, not sure about the rest of their timetable. could try the baby group at park hill church hall right next to queens park, but i found getting downstairs with a big buggy tricky.

There is a good health visitor gorup with tea and coffee for under ones at St Georges Crypt under St Georges Road.

Hi there

There are quite a few baby music groups, parent and baby groups, Near Brighton Station is Baby music group: Under the Bridge? Music Studio, 7 Trafalgar Arches, and of course Baby Boogie at Jubilee Library which is brilliant. You should be able to find out more about what is right near you from your Health Visitor as they have lists, and your local children's Centre, which was mentioned above, possibly Tarner Children's Centre? There is also a Children's Centre at Elm Grove, called the City View Children's Centre, not sure which is closest to you? Both will have lots of different types of baby groups running, for free.
