Childcare advice

Hi.. just wondering how other single parent working mums/dads cover their childcare issues when your school kids are on holiday or off sick? I am new to the area and have no family support here and its a huge worry!

Hi - welcome to Inverness!
I moved back here to have some family backup - was nitemare being 150 miles away with no help! I have to rely on them pretty much & have a childminder who's on call if ill/not contagious!
Think there is a holiday club at the swimming pool in town - haven't used it though, so not sure what it's like.
