Villages between s walden and royston are lovely. I have a friend who works in a nursery in Chrishall and she always says that theres quite a community feel. Imagine with your eldest at school it should be easy to meet people.

Good luck

I live in a village close to Walden but on the way to Royston. Moved here from London coming up to 3 years ago and not regretted a moment. Which hamlet are you moving to? Our village is very friendly with a variety of social events, clubs and a playgroup.

hello, we are going to hamlet just outside chrishall...probably in easter holidays if it all works out...its not that we hate london at all but for loads of different reasons including we both grew up in the country. would love to meet up if/when we actually get there, thanks for replying

I know Pip and she is lovely. Otherwise if you want all day your best bet is Crocus nursery or the Bell in Saffron Walden
