Hi, I would like to take my 5mth baby swimming, but dont really want to pay £90 for a full course. Can anyone recommend a good pool to go swimming and does anyone know of any classes etc that you dont have to pay for a full term? I'd be grateful for any advice!

I'm pretty sure they have some kind of pay-per-session baby swimming at Parkside.

Yes, parkside do offer this but I'd say give bumpercise and aquatots a go. Sarah Allen who runs the classes told me that she has got spare places for the Monday 2pm class at Bottisham. Get in contact with her, she'll probably say come along and see what you think. I've been taking my daughter now for a year and she loves it.

I have heard that the Abbey pool does a free sure start swimming session that anyone can go. Not been tho (yet)

FWIW we have been doing lessons with the dolphin birthlight swim school since DD was 3 mo. They are fab. Pricey but fab.

Sarah's classes are great, the Grove School in Arbury also has a swimming session (not taught) 10-12 on Saturdays in term time for under 5s or thereabouts, the pool is small, very warm and shallow, lots of toys, ideal for babies.
