Well they said it would snow at 12... and here it is!

Not in South Cambs, it hasn't! And I don't want it either!

fruitful · 06/01/2010 12:05

I'm in North Herts (that bit that bumps up into Cambs!). Not snowing here yet. As long as it holds off long enough for them not to shut school early ...

Lilymaid · 06/01/2010 12:11

Not in SE Cambs as yet.

It is here (near Grafton).

They also said it would snow yesterday and it didn't. Don't give them too much credit

JumpJockey · 06/01/2010 12:32

Oh I dunno Trillian, I got a few flakes at about 9.30 yesterday... It's starting to settle on my still frozen lawn in Romsey

Just looked out of the window and yes, it has got to my village. I wonder whether the schools will all shut now?

DaisymooSteiner · 06/01/2010 12:41

Got to get to work tonight.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 06/01/2010 12:58

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 06/01/2010 12:59

according to the met office it isn't snowing here... my eyes must be going..

fruitful · 06/01/2010 13:00

Ooh! It just started snowing a minute ago. Lots and lots.

Drat. Shall I put ds2 to bed for his nap? Bet the school wants me to collect dd and ds1 as soon as he is asleep!

Ruby - mmm, I like to be inside with the fire lit and nowhere to go!

Is it still snowing heavily where you are? You got it half-an-hour before me, I'm trying to judge what will happen.

Me too. Just dh to get home from London now.

JodieO · 06/01/2010 13:40

Lots of snow here and the school closed early.

Poledra · 06/01/2010 14:01

Well, it got here (to my work) and we got sent home. So am now home, school is closed but DCs are at childminder's (within walking distance). Damn technology means I can work from home though, so best get to it! And the snow is lessening off too. D'you think my plumber will still come and look at my dodgy central heating? [hopeful emoticon]

arolf · 06/01/2010 14:11

I'm just south of cambs and it's falling thick and fast here - roads are very slow (one behind us feeds onto the M11 and is crawling along!)

hope you all get yourselves and your families home ok!

wannatalk · 06/01/2010 14:15

not snowing here anymore want more!!!!!!!!

Claire2301 · 06/01/2010 15:16

Over at the regional college - sitting cancelling a load of evening classes!

So, how is it today?

We've got an inch of snow on the ground and no more forecast, but the school has shut. The other 7 schools in town are all open .

Our teachers mostly come from Cambridge - so are there 5-foot high drifts there or something?

Poledra · 07/01/2010 09:40

School open here in South Cambs - didn't get any more snow, but it's icy now. Plumber did come, diagnosed a knackered pump on boiler, and is coming back this afternoon to fix it.

I think I love him (though will not declare said love until he has actually fixed the bloody thing!).
