Anyone fancy going to Adventureland next Friday morning - say 10 am when it opens.

I will have the 2.2 year old boy I look after, and will probably have lunch there too

Sounds goo,I don't think my DD2's playgroup starts again until the week after,so should be able to make this.

Sawyer64 · 31/12/2009 06:42

Make that "good" !

NormaSknockers · 01/01/2010 08:13

DD has nursery on a Friday so I won't be able to make it - hope to see you all soon though

We have DS's open day for preschool that afternoon and I don't think it's the best idea for him to turn up shattered

Hope you have fun.

We will be going to little grasshoppers - if i can get my newly defiant little monster to leave the house (dont know what's happened to him- hes usually lovely, but Christmas has turned him into a nightmare!!).

Also the last time i went to AL i 'forgot' i was pregnant and tried to squeeze between some very tight rollers - not an experience i intend to repeat! (plus DS will not go round on his own...and im not doing it for a bit!)

Have a goo time

Lifeinagoldfishbowl · 02/01/2010 23:49

What's grass hoppers?

Think Christmas affects all the children Pooter
A time when they are pretty much centre of attention,"rules" are relaxed ie.Bedtimes, amount of sweets etc. and freedom to sit and play with all their new toys without too much interruption with their "normal" routines!

Plus an abundance of presents, through that all in with too much excitement = Anarchy

At least that how it is in our household.....

Soon resolves when school/playgroup and routine re-establishes itself.

Sawyer64 · 03/01/2010 10:20

Throw not through.

pooter · 03/01/2010 10:41

yes Sawyer - that's what i am hoping. I can see glimmers of my old boy sometimes. DH and i were ready for a big meltdown as we wanted DS to pick up some food he had thrown on the floor. To our amazement he just said "no problem" and did it without a fuss! We almost fainted!!

Little Grasshoppers is a kind of martial arts thingy for tiny ones - hang on i'll get a link.
grasshoppers We used to go to little monkeys when DS was younger - it was great - really safe place for them to mess about, and tea and coffee for the adults. Grasshoppers needs more parental involvement, but its really cool. They have races and stretching at the beginning, then do an obstacle course complete with bowing at every obstacle and a few kicking/punching sections, then ten mins of skills time, where they learn to kick and punch properly. They sometimes also do some road safety awareness.

Its not cheap at £5 per go, but i really rate it.

I'm wondering whether Ad Land will be packed tomorrow if everyone has kids off school due to the snow - shall we postpone ? Can still meet if you need to get out the house

OP posts:
Sawyer64 · 07/01/2010 11:48

Was thinking about postponing anyway,as if school is closed etc.can't bring my eldest daughter as she has broken her arm.

Not desperate to goout in this weather anyway!

We can arrange another visit soon.

Mung · 08/01/2010 08:48

I wont make it today in this weather...can't face clearing the car of 3 days of snow. I need to get out of the house though, but a bit of SPD and snow don't mix...ouch!

NormaSknockers · 08/01/2010 13:41

You have my sympathies Mung had SPD with both pregnancies ouch indeed! Hope it's not to awful for you.

Sawyer64 · 09/01/2010 10:34

Me too! At least its known about now, lots of tips available.Got a Pregnancy belt if you need one...
