Mother's helper wanted - any recommendations/tips?

Hi there. DS2 is due in April and DS1 will be 26 months. I am looking for a mother's helper for a few hours 3-4 times a week to help with things in the house as well as take DS1 to playgroups/park etc while I have time with the new baby.

Has anyone locally used one and if so do you have any tips about how to go about finding one? Also any advice about rates, employer responsibilities etc.. would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

OFFERED: Mothers Help

If you require mothers help anytime during the week or evening, please send me a PM with your details.

I am based in Teddington and can work around you and your family. Available to look after all day or pickup children from school Mon-Fri at pre-arranged times or if you are stuck can collect on short notice. Also available for weekend or evening help if you need a bit of me time.

I have been a mother for over 11 years so I have the experience with children, plus the children seem to like me to I am currently at home with my 18 month old little girl.

I am a very happy go lucky, bubbly personality that will keep your children entertained. I do not have any formal childcare qualifications but happy to meet for a coffee and discuss anything in more detail.

Full UK Driving License

I charge £8 per hour.

Regards
Clare

I would suggest getting in touch with Richmond Council's Family Information Service. Among other things, they can send you lists of local Ofsted registered childminders and other registered childcare providers in the area. e: [email protected] or t: 0208 831 6298.

Thank you for your replies. Sorry to have been so slow in responding to them, but the information is really useful.
