Hi there,

Just thought I'd say hi - I've recently discovered Mumsnet, so thought I'd say hi on here and see if anyone was about...

I've got a 7.5 month old DD who was rather impatient and arrived 12.5 weeks early. She spent 9 weeks in SCBU, but has been out since June and is doing well (apart from the odd cold).

I go along to a few groups - Gardner's Lane children's centre baby drop in, Christchurch toddler group, Baby bounce and rhyme at the library... but would be interested to hear about any other groups which are good. Would also love to hear from other people with similar age DCs as I can feel a little isolated at times since neither myself nor DH have family anywhere nearby.

I live in Cheltenham (Arle Gardens).

Please introduce yourselves to me! I don't bite!

Hi Galena

I live in Chelt too and have a 7.5 month old DS.
What is the Christchurch group like and when is it? I thought about taking DS a while ago but never got round to it.
I have been going to Bumps and Babes at St Andrews, but DS is getting a bit big now. There is a toddler group there on Tuesdays which we will be starting after Christmas.
We try to go to Bounce and Rhyme but DS is usually napping...

Hi

I am new to mumsnet.
I have been on other 'mums' sites but think that some are too big.

I currently have 3 children aged 17, 11 and 6 years.

I work part time as a care support worker and run a small local business selling unwanted gifts/items for people around cheltenham. This is going very well at the moment with lots of people visiting my website sellingit4u.biz

I always like to met new mums, and as my childrens ages are varied I find I have a lot in common with most parents.

So if you want any advice or want to de-cluuet your home drop me an email and say hi.

Nik

Hi Ladies

I'm just about to move in to Cheltenham and have a four year old (almost 5) Daughter, we are really looking forward to moving as we will have a bigger garden and an extra bedroom for the grandma's to stay over in. I'm looking for a job in Cheltenham, not sure if I will be FT or PT as yet and would be really grateful for any recomendations for childminders in the Romansfield school area and generaly any activities/places to go/eat for Mums and Dads and children in this area.
Thank you
Kat

Kat

Hi, good luck with the move. I use a childminder who does pick-ups from Rowanfields school - though she might not have spaces, I think she's very well connected with the other childminders there so may well be able to recommend someone. I don't want to post her details here, but you could CAT me? Maybe once you know more about your plans?

Kathola · 08/02/2010 17:43

Hi ApuskiDusky,

Not sure what CAT means but assume it's a form of private message? Am new to Mumsnet )

Thank you, will work out what CAT means and get the details from you.

Speak soon

ApuskiDusky · 08/02/2010 19:32

Alternatively, if you go onto 'MyMumsnet' section, you can change your preferences to receive CATs - you're set to not receive them at the moment. If you do that and post back here, I'll CAT the details through to you. Saves you having to subscribe for a fiver, as I've already done it.
