Whittington Hospital A&E

Services at the Whittington are under review, with an idea to merge the Whittington with the Royal Free, and there are rumours that the A&E might be cut. This would be a disaster for those of us for whom the Whittington is either the nearest hospital or the easiest to get to - public transport links from my area are a lot better than those for the North Middlesex.

HAve signed, thanks for sharing. Gutted that they are considering closing it. (I have used that A&E ward twice, once when DH broke his arm and once when he got an eletric shock).

If it closes what will the nearest A & E to HAringey be?

skater, it depends on where you are. For us, the North Midd is nearest but that's under threat too. I think in the west of the borough they would be assuming people could go to the Royal Free, or UCLH.

I just think it's such a terrible idea.
