Anna is really good, she does classes in Crouch End www.birthwiseyoga.co.uk/

MarsLady · 17/01/2010 11:57

I can second Anna. She's lovely!

Sandi Sharkey at the Hidden Space off Green Lanes near Turnpike Lane tube is excellent, am now doing her postnatal class with baby. www.thehiddenspace.co.uk/pregnancy.html

Sorry I've only just seen these replies - thank you very much

I can also recommend Julie Tortora - www.lifelongyoga.co.uk/ - I attended her antenatal classes and have now started going with my 3 month old. Really good classes and very relaxed as small groups in her home (near Crouch Hill)

I'd recommend Yoga Junction I didn;t do their antenatal although I've met others who did and loved it but I did do postnatal with Tara and taht was fantastic I'd really recommend that she's brilliant

Hi everyone,

I don't run Pregnancy Pilates but I just wanted to let you know that I am running Pilates classes in Crouch End, Islington and Chalk Farm.

I'm a member of the Pilates Foundation which offers the highest standard of teaching.

If you would like more details, please let me know.

Jessica

You can try www.londonyoga.org.uk/pregnancy-yoga I went to Marielle's classes during my two pregnancies, they were really good, and it also really helped me during the birth.

I would also strongly recommend natal hypnotherapy if you are interested in natural options, it's just brilliant!

I went to Anna Wise antenatal once during my first pregnancy and although she's brilliantly knowledgeable, I felt we spent a little too much time Talking and not enough time Doing. Another friend tells me that she has a tendency to single out more experienced mothers all the time to answer 1st-timers' questions and in my friend's case she didn't want to be the one always answering the questions; she felt a bit uneasy abt the attention.

Tara at yoga junction gets AMAZING feedback for her postnatal classes, I have to admit I've not been but that's not for want of recommendations.

This is prob too late to be helpful but hope you find somewhere suitable.

I've just started the pregnancy yoga class with Patsy at the Iyengar Yoga Centre in East Finchley. Don't know if that's too far away for you? but the class is great.

MissTea · 09/03/2011 18:14

I second Julie Tortora - couldn't have given birth without her brilliant breathing techniques. Really recommend doing preg yoga if it's your first time.

Hi,

A note to say that I have a couple of vacancies just at the moment, if anyone is wondering about joining a Yoga for Pregnancy Class. I've been teaching for 20 years now and GPs and midwives know of my work. I'm on the border of Crouch End with Stroud Green. You can read more about my classes on the website www.lifelongyoga.co.uk. Maybe see you here.

Best wishes
Julie

i am pregnant and desperate for some yoga or pilates...

but I have a toddler. are any of the mentioned classes at night or with a creche? I cant seem to find anything suitable and I cannot afford a babysitter just for my exercise class.

they all seem suited to first time mums

HaringeyNCT · 15/06/2011 23:26

Hi Mamaesi
Archway Children's centre used to have a pregnancy yoga with a creche, not sure if they are still doing it but worth giving them a call
Another option would be to try teaming up with a friend and going alternate weeks while you alternate looking after your toddlers--fortnightly yoga is better than no yoga!
Good luck

Hi,
Fitshape on Alexander Park Road, Muswell Hill run an ante-natal pregnancy class on Tuesday evenings. I have been going for a few weeks and really would recommend!
