Any groups/meets in Tiptree/Coggeshall area?

Hi,

I'm new to Mumsnet. We moved back to Essex from London when I was pregnant with our first. He is now 18-months and I was wondering if anyone knew of any friendly toddler groups/classes/activities/meet ups in the Tiptree/Kelvedon/Coggeshall area? We live in a small village just outside Tiptree. Secondly, we like getting out in the fresh air - anyone know of any good buggy friendly walks locally? thanks.

There is a little lambs group on a Thursday morning at the church in Kelvedon.

I think there are various toddler groups and coffee mornings in Coggeshall. There's also a range of activities in Colchester if you can travel there

Hi Katlm,
We are in Kelvedon. I have DS (3) and DD (5 months). We like the Monday morning toddler group at Easterford Road pre-school, although haven't been for a while as DS is at another pre-school. Jo Jingles on Wednesday morning at United Reformed Church, Kelvedon. Wednesday morning also at Feering toddler group. Haven't been to Little Lambs for a while but if you fancy going let me know and we'll keep you company on your first visit.

Can't think of any good buggy walks off hand. There is a nice walk around Kelvedon, past horses and river for little ones but not always buggy friendly as cuts through farmers field. We went for a walk by the river yesterday and came back with a ton of mud!

A new toddler group started in Feering on a Friday morning - started this morning actually - I only know about it because my friend's hairdresser has started it - the 2 people I know who go are very nice - it is at the evangelical church near the drummonds centre.

Coggeshall has a drop-in baby and toddler group on Monday mornings in the village hall. There's also church coffee mornings Tuesdays and Thursdays, and story time at the library Tuesday afternoon and Thursday mornings.

Marks Hall, the other side of Coggeshall towards Earls Colne, is great for walks if you have a off-road buggy.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for all the suggestions. Have just found out I'm pregnant again. When the sickness eases I will give some of these groups a go! Thanks again.
