Michel Odent (MD) is the author of 12 books in 22 languages. He was pioneering in his use of water as an aid for labour and the introduction of more home-like birthing rooms to hospitals in Europe. He was the first to advise on the benefits of breastfeeding within the first hour after birth - now World Health Organisation policy.
You might remember the interview with him in The Observer a few weeks ago...
On Wednesday 9th December he'll be coming to talk in Bristol for the first time - a rare chance for parents to put their questions to a top obstetrician and get his advice.
The organisers are offering mumsnetters a special deal on tickets:
Standard price = £40
Couples = £60 (equivalent of buy one, get one half price)
Just say 'mumsnet' when you book and you'll get an extra 20% off the couples ticket - taking it down to £48.
The morning session for health professionals has nearly sold out.
Tickets available through www.motherslove.co.uk using paypal or at Born, 64 Gloucester Road, Bristol, BS7 8BH (taking cash and cheque payments)
