I know people with children at each but I think generally St Peters would be considered to be the better school (it came out top in the recent league tables - I know they dont mean everything but .....). St Peters gets people looking for out of catchment places whereas I'm not sure that Oxgangs does. They are both new schools though so both nice and the teachers are meant to be good in both but Oxgangs does have more of a social mix. I suppose it partly depends how you feel about children being at a Catholic school because, understandably, it is very catholic - prayers, church etc etc. We thought about ours going there but decided to send them to the local school in the end as we are atheists. Good luck with your decision.

hi St Peters has good rep - also they wear shirts and ties etc which some people like . Think Oxgangs suffers by being called Oxgangs - lots of negative connotations. I think if you delve into the stats OG do very well on added value ie have very good teachers. is a lovely school - bright and modern - go see !

ps my children are at neither shool so I have no axe to grind....

PPs - are you within walking distance of either ? Great advantage not to have to drive !
