Newcastle's Turkish Baths

Have you been to Newcastle's Turkish baths under the City Pool? It's fantastic and so cheap!

The place is gorgeous with all the original fittings (Victorian mahogany booths, marble massage beds etc) and you'll come out feeling wonderful. It is open for women only on Tuesdays, Thurdays and Saturdays.

It costs £7.50_ for the day (or three hours if it's busy) and you can add on a mini massage for only 10.50_!!!

You can even hire the place on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings. What a place for a Mumsnet meet up!

Newcastle Turkish baths

I went for the first time last week and I am going to go once a month from now on. It is the perfect antidote to a freezing cold day.

Fantastic. Just what I need. My hubby looks after my little boy (5 weeks) now on Saturdays, so I will go and enjoy a Turkish bath next Saturday. Thanks for posting

This sounds fantastic - I'm new to Newcastle, where is the city pool? I have been taken to Jesmond Poo so far and thats it!

It's right in the city centre. I think it's called Northumberland Street - just off Northumberland Rd, the main shopping street.

Shhh! It's such a well kept secret . Go there occsionally for a cheap treat. We spent a Saturday there for my hen do, had massages and took face packs in etc. It was like a spa day for fraction of price.

PS love the name Florence!

Thank you!

I hope that you all had/have a nice time. It is bliss.

Florence reminds herself to go back soon. No time since November.
