Advice on preschools please

Hi, we have just moved to TW and are trying to find a nice preschool for our 3yr DS. I have made contact with a number of preschools and not all have places available. I managed to visit a couple last week and was quite impressed with Hawkenbury Nursery School. Does anyone have any experience with this preschool that may be helpful before we sign him up for it? Any other preschool recommendations would be welcome too.

Hi NatKat,

We're moving to TW later this year (probably late summer, probably TN1) & currently thinking about a nursery for DD (3yrs at end May). Did you end up going with Hawkenbury? Do you like it? I'll go & see a few when we're in TW at the end of January, but word of mouth always a good place to start...

Hi
I live locally and can highly recommend St Lukes Pre-School. My son went there from 2 1/2 until school at almost 5 and I put my daughter on the list as soon as she was born.

mccollfi, DS started at Hawkenbury a couple of weeks ago. I guess it is early days and he is still feeling a bit unsure about it. I am happy enough with it for now. Everyone seems very friendly. The difficulty is that although there are lots of very highly thought of preschools in TW, most of them are full by now. So, in the end we didn't really have that much choice. Hopefully, it will work out for the best. Good Luck with your move. We love it here. I would be interested to know how you get on with preschools. Let me know if you need any more help or advice.

Hi I too am looking for a pre school in T.Wells area. Loved St Lukes but there are no more spaces for a Jan start!! Tried to get hold of the lady from Alphabet train quite a few times and recieved a prospectus but no reply to my messages about coming to view. Any suggestions? Thanks

What about St George's - they have a nursery & a pre-school. It's on Queens Rd/Chilston Rd
