Hi - we (myself, my boyfriend and our 10 month old DS)have moved to TW in the last couple of months and so far we love it. the proximity to the countryside is so wonderful and the town seems to have all we need so far. My partner is commuting which is somewhat tiring as he has a 30mins cycle after arriving at Waterloo East....especially as the nights are closing in, but we are reworking our schedule to get more time together.
The only thing we are missing is a social life and friends near-by.
We would love to meet some like-minded people who are at a similar stage in life to us.
Anyone fancy meeting up for a coffee??

I'll be at St Augustines Church's playgroup on Wed Morning. Can you come? We can meet then, have a chat a let our kids have a play.
I have a 2.5yo DD and a 8mo DS.
St Augustines is by one of Calverley Grounds' entrances.

The grapavine is a great magazine with lots of info, including local mum and toddler/baby groups. You can get it at the library.
St augustines is from 10am-12am. Hope to see you there. I usually get there 30 min late, oops.

Welcome to TW Lachi. We just moved here from Maidstone three weeks ago. Prior to that we lived in East Dulwich in London. We have two DSs aged 3years and 7 months. I would be interested in coming to the St Augustine's playgroup next week too.

Anaki - is it ok to just come along? Someone mentioned to me that you need to phone in advance for some playgroups.

AnaKi · 24/10/2009 21:19

Oh yes, it's ok to come... more than ok. The only playgroup I know they like you to phone up beforehand is the baptist church on grosvenor rd.
We won't be there this coming wed as we are away but will be there the following one.
My dd is 2.9yo and my ds is 9 months.
Looking forward to meeting you two. [hgreen]
Lachi, have you tried chamomilla (homeopathic remedy) for teething? The cheapest place to buy it is Helios in Camden Rd, you can get different quantities and strngths and for half the price of other conventional places.

lachi · 29/10/2009 09:41

thanks AnaKi, yes i have tried the chamomilla and love that Helios is here in TW!!!! Love Homeopathy!!
I went to the playgroup at St Augustine's yesterday and it was great. My DS was exhausted after so much playing.
Did you go NatKat?? We should wear a mumsnet badge so that we recognise each other...
