Hi

We are looking for a nursery place for our DS who is 3 in Jan next year.

Particularly interested in Robert Owen Early Years Centre and the Greenwich Steiner kindergarten.

Would welcome any thoughts/experiences of these please or any other recommendations.

Thanks

Hi there. My son goes to Robert Owen, he's only 1 1/2 though. It suits him very well - there's a lot for him to do and he runs off lots of energy and plays well with lots of children, the staff are very experienced, although the downside with some of them is they can take the attitude of 'this is how I've always done it, this is how I'm doing it'. I find the headteacher very approachable and the general atmosphere pretty good.

The only other thing I would say is that for some young children they don't seem to know what to do if the child is a bit under the weather or needs a lot of attention, and so maybe it wouldn't be so good for a very shy/quiet/clingy child. It could be a bit overwhelming for the wrong child - they send children home too easily in this situation in my opinion.

Anywhere you want to go in Greenwich there's a stupendous waiting list, so get in quick. Hope you get this message, I only just saw your post, sorry. Good luck.

Sx
