Any good tips for what to do with toddlers in Islington when it's raining please?! I live in Highbury with a 14 month old crawler, though assume he will start walking soon...

Go to one of the 'stay and plays' at Kate Greenwood nursery or Bemerton. You can go on line to government website and they have a link to children's activities or go to Central library (Fieldway crescent) and they have a list already printed out.
Hope this helps.

Do you know about the council's "things to do" leaflet? You can download the pdf here:
www.islington.gov.uk/education/familyinformationservice/things_to_do/ttdo_under5.asp

Som ething maybe less obvious is a trip to St. Pancras Station. The 'upstairs' is a giant open space which is fantastic for kids that need to crawl or run around a lot. The eurostars are visible through the glass divider and to round it off there's a little branch of Hamley's downstairs.
