Resurrecting this thread as I've just HAD to dereg my 12yo DS1 from his Secondary school. Long story short, HE is happening for his own happiness! He's in Y8. I can deal with Maths and English, probably all science (except some of the practicals, obviously). I can cover things like food tech and practical life skills like budgeting, wiring plugs, putting up shelves & curtains etc. I've got someone who can do textiles lessons really cheaply. History is covered by a friend.

My main questions are 1) Where do I find contact details for HE groups in Colchester and 2) Is there any way to sit GCSE exams as a HE pupil. I also need to find someone with the ability to help him in Geography as he has been completely failed by his previous school in that, and it's just not in my skill set.
