It was snowing last time we had one, it was that long ago!! Does anyone else fancy meeting up again?!

So, to kick off, how about Friday 18th or Friday 25th September, venue TBA?

I'd be happy to join you on either of those dates. Are you thinking eating or just drinking?

SouthernMeerkat · 04/09/2009 15:12

Last time we met at about 7.45 so had a meal, but happy to do whatever the consensus is....

I do quite abit of babysitting, but if I can get out one of those nights would love to meet up - I'll keep an eye on venue and et you know, thanks.

Hi SouthernMeerkat - I can't believe it's been that long since the last meet-up. And well done for taking the initiative. Unfortunately I can't do either of those dates.....but if it gets postponed to later in the year, let me know....

SouthernMeerkat · 17/09/2009 18:18

Well they're not set in stone Shivs - I just plucked them out of thin air - it's not as though it's a massively popular idea (or so it seems!!).....and I can't now do the first one anyway!

Throw some others out there and let's see what happens....

HI - just seen this thread which may well be out of date by now. Have left a oouple of threads already so you can see how enthusiastic I am. Any room in a girls night for a new girl on the block?? Am central Tunbridge Wells & just arrived in the area - would love to make contact with other mums....

Shivs1974 · 14/10/2009 13:26

Hi Lachi - hope you're enjoying living in TWells and are finding your feet. My dds are 4 and 3 so I'm bit out of touch on the baby groups but there are loads which are really friendly. Pick up a copy of the Grapevine magazine...

Why don't we try for sometime in November - and then half term is out of the way...? Could maybe do somewhere in town this time round?? Though the food at Lava was yummy....

Meerkat - what do you reckon?? You were the instigator of this second time round? Seems like there are lots of TWells mums on the local thread so sure you'll get some more positive responses....

lachi · 15/10/2009 11:08

Great - thanks i will get myself and Grapevine and go join in.

A November get-together sounds good to me. When the organisation starts can i put in a request for a weds or friday evening - just to work around partner being home in time to babysit.

Shivs1974 · 23/10/2009 21:17

It's going to be November soon - so unless SouthernMeerkat do you want to come up with some dates?? Otherwise I'm happy to if you're busy.....seems like there are a number of new T/W mums so should hopefully get a good turnout....

SouthernMeerkat · 02/11/2009 14:07

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry, I haven't been on here much lately - too busy feeling rotten and pregnant with number 4!! I therefore think it's unlikely that I'll make a gathering to be honest as I'm asleep by about 8 in the evening and feeling sick all the time - sorry!!

Congratulations SouthernMeerkat - that's wonderful news!! V pleased for you.

I'll happily try & sort out a date. Maybe if you're feeling up to it, you could pop along?? But I fully appreciate the need to be asleep by 8 and I've only got 2!

SouthernMeerkat · 05/11/2009 19:17

Thanks Shivs - it's all still sinking in! Keep meaning to say hi after mass one Sunday, but you've usually disappeared by the time I've gathered my troops - and my two always want to see Theo's old reception teacher so I usually get waylaid!

If you do come up with a date, I will see how I'm feeling closer to the time - the sickness is starting to ease, but the tiredness - well, I guess that's just going to be my default position for the next few years!!

Congratulations SouthernMeerkat!! My heart goes out to you with the tiredness of those first few months of pregnancy and my only experience is with my first. I cannot imagine feeling that way with 3 little livewires running circles around me. Hope you have lots of support. What a fun household you must have!!

Well shall I throw a few dates in the pot and we can see what everyone thinks. Personally Weds and Friday evenings are best due to my work and babysitting etc. So i will start with Dec 2nd or 4th in the bidding.

Shivs1974 · 05/12/2009 23:01

Sorry, sorry, sorry - this totally slipped my mind! Lachi - are you happy to sort out? Maybe do one in the New Year??? Would be happy to help/suggest places...
