Little Acorns - New Christian Worship for under 5s starting in Ely Cathedral on 13th September

Dear All

I just wanted to publicise this new Cathedral event being organised by a friend of mine to make Sunday Services toddler friendly:

A new worship for the under 5s is staring in the Cathedral Centre Sundays at 10.30am on September 13th.

Leader Revd Rosalind Lane (experienced Mum of 2!)

Little Acorns is a worship experience
for those members of the Cathedral
community who are under five years
of age and their carers. The service will
last about twenty minutes and include
songs, stories, prayers and actions
which mirror the ministry of the word
that adults attending the Cathedral
eucharist experience. It will be based
on the Lectionary and follow the
Christian seasons of the year. It will be
held in addition to the creche within
the cathedral. Parents, grandparents
and carers will be encouraged by the
stewards to bring their children to
this service and then to come with the
Sunday Club into the cathedral to share
in the Eucharist together.

If you would like any more information, please leave a message here and I'll get back to you.

I think it sounds fantastic (mine are older and we go to a local church, albeit not far from Ely). Hope it works out.

I started going to church again after attending a "pram service", and I think its a great way to ease back in to going to church, if you've not been for a few years!

Thanks! We hope its going to be a bit more relaxing than trying to stop the little ones from climbing on the pillars well my DS anyway!
