Moving to Tunbridge Wells - advice on toddler groups

I am very excited to be moving to TW in September. I have heard that there is lots of amazing stuff to do there for families. I have two boys aged 3 years and 6 months. I used to do some classes with DS1 but find it more difficult now that DS2 has come along. Can anyone recommend any good friendly groups for DS1 that I can take DS2 along to. Something pretty relaxed and fairly unstructured would be best. I have found that classes such as Tumble Tots don't leave much space for the children or Mums to interact and build friendships

Hi there - you need to get hold of a copy of Grapevine which lists all the toddler groups in Tunbridge Wells and when they are on. It also has numerous other groups advertising in it which you may be interested in.

Good luck and welcome!

I just suggested the same on another thread. Well, I go... on Wed to St Augustines Church, on Thur to St James church, on Fri to Baptist church and might start going on Tue to St Johns church.
I've been going to the first 3 regularly for a long time and really enjoy almost as much as my little girl, 2.5yo (I also have a 7mo old boy)
You can google them, find them in the grapevine (online as well) or ask me for more details

Thanks. I think that I will give a few groups a go and see what works best. I am on maternity leave until next April so I have a bit of time to explore. My main concern is being able to find something that I can manage with both of them.

Anaki, could you tell me the times of the St Johns and Baptist groups? I gather the other two are morning groups and afternoons tend to be better for us as DS still has a long nap starting mid-morning.

If anyone else is interested in afternoon groups there's a friendly little group at St Luke's church on Wednesday afternoons, starts 1.30ish if I remember rightly.

There's a lovely group who meet in the church hall of St Barnabus (bottom of Camden Rd, just past fish & chip shop). It's on a Thursday morning (think it's 9.30-11.30, but it might be 9-11?). I went when it first started and then went back to work - but the group was really friendly. Definitely worth a look

I think St Johns starts at 10am and Baptist Church is from 9:30 - 11:30 (I think they like you to phone before you go the first time)
