Hi there- I have an 8 month old baby girl and have just moved to bethnal green (as the title would suggest...) I am looking to meet mums of babies with similar ages, or would like to know of events suitable for babies of this age; there seem to be a lot going on for older kids, but does anyone know of any groups? Or fancy meeting for coffee? If I have to sing the 'horsey horsey' song one more time I think I'm going to lose my mind...:-s

There is a really great music group (led by the most amazing guy ever) at Globe primary school on a tuesday at 1.30. You should go to that when term starts, it is for pre-school children of all ages, 8 months is fine.

Hi there. I've just moved out of the eastend but there are loads of things to do. The NCT runs coffee mornings every Tuesday from 10-12 (you don't have to be a member to go) and you can get access to all the details from here: groups.yahoo.com/group/thnct/

The Pavillion in Victoria Park is wonderful and a great place for little ones and mums - they do great cakes! On a Wednesday morning a music class called Picallo is on at Hackney Forge (in Victoria Park Village) which is really great. Costs £4 and is on at 11am and I took my son to it for almost a year before we moved.

Gymboree in Docklands is great as is the Museum of Childhood in BG and the Museum of Docklands in Canary Wharf.

I made loads of friends through the coffee mornings and my son really benefitted from socialising with other children.

Hope that helps!

hello, i'm in the east end and have a 9 month old baby boy! I'm up for meeting for coffee if you fancy it? I've got a 2 1/2 DD so have done a lot of the groups for the last two years. where are you based?
