Day out at East Mersea

Anyone fancy a day at Cudmore Grove with a picnic and some time on the beach?

I may be a little optimistic here, but I was counting on an Indian summer and thought we could go on either the 1st or 2nd September.

You need to drive to get there, but if some of the people with large buses come along perhaps the non-drivers could hitch a lift.

Who fancies coming?

Hi I am happy to stick with the plan for now, unless we have rain from the word go. Would have had to leave early anyway as I have a midwife appointment at 2. My mobile number is the same as it always was. Mung I don't have yours anymore cos i've got a different phone. Got sparkly's though if I need to contact anyone and she has mine.

We had a trip there at the weekend after I read this thread. DS had great time collecting shells and bird watching. Hope you all have a lovely morning and the rain holds off for you.

well hello! have just got back from Mersea! i did wonder if i was doing the right thing - but my phone is out of charge and credit (has been for months - i am v daft) so i couldnt ring. Anyway - me and DS had a nice time - ate our sandwiches immediately, watched kites flying, collected some shells and kicked a ball around. Weather wasnt that bad really - a few spots of rain for ten mins at the start then just a bit blustery. Never mind! Im sure i will manage to coordinate properly soon!

So sorry Pooter. It was probably ok for a walk and a quick lunch.
