Does anyone know why Watford council have so severely cut the provision of playshemes in the area? My youngest was looking forward to going to the Cassiobury playscheme again this year but it is not running - council official line is that it was underused! The truth is that it was nearly always oversubscribed. I have made an official complaint but have no hope it will actually get me anywhere. Also, eldest son has special needs. There are no schemes at all run by the council for this group of kids. The only one is run by Mencap - £10 per day and oversubscribed. What do we pay our over-inflated council tax for?
