As do cakes ...

Saz126 · 20/07/2009 16:34

Would love to come but don't think we will be able to make it this week. Well really don't think I will be organised enough to get out for the train in time with little bubs. Will check out the train times though just in case. x

lucyfer2000 · 20/07/2009 20:05

Hi normasknockers. We might be able to make it on Thursday but you know when you have that sneaking feeling that you have something booked or someone coming round to check out your u bend or something!? Can't do Friday.

Hope to meet up anyway - cakes and good company are always an incentive for me! Will let you know xx

purpleflower · 20/07/2009 20:13

Hi NormaSknockers, hopefully I will make it. I'm going to have a look at the train and bus times.

EffiePerine · 20/07/2009 20:20

I may be free thurs pm, but have no idea where you are - could you cat me?
(we met at AL btw)

NormaSknockers · 21/07/2009 07:52

Excellent, means I won't have to eat all the cakes on my own

Saz be great if you could come but completely understand if you don't make it as babe is only weeny still, I didn't venture out on my own with both DC til DS was 4 weeks old

"SP & PF be great to see you all, PF* I can tell you the train times (know them off by heart) but not a clue about the bus times lol!

Lucyfer I know that feeling very well lol! Be great to see you if you can make it!

Effie We're down in Kirby Cross so a little bit out of Colchester I'll CAT you now!

Shall we say 10? Maybe the sun will be out so the DC can run around in the garden

NormaSknockers · 21/07/2009 07:53

purpleflower · 21/07/2009 09:05

Yes please NS, do you know what time they run from colchester town? I think the bus is every 10 mins or so, so that shouldn't be a problem

NormaSknockers · 21/07/2009 11:50

From Colchester Town it's 57 minutes past every hour & you don't need to change as that's the Walton train so you just stay on til you reach my stop

OP posts:
EffiePerine · 21/07/2009 14:30

I think we can make it from Colchester Town, DS1 is very happy to go on a train . Is there a direct service from the N station or do you have to change?

NormaSknockers · 21/07/2009 20:19

Effie there is a direct train from North too as it pulls into Town after leaving North. I think it's 47 minutes past every hour or there abouts & it usually leaves from platform 5.

Failing that you can also get on the Clacton train at 7 minutes past the hour from platform 1 or 2 & then just change at Thorpe where the Walton train will be waiting. Kirby is the first stop after Thorpe, either way it gets you to us at half past the hour
