I am new on this site and am on the lookout for friends for my little girl who is 3 and a rather lonely (sob!) only child. Anyone fancy a meet in the park so we can get to know more local mums/kids??

We are in Highwoods - do you mean the park with the new playground (little egg cup and basket swing?) We go there quite a bit!

We are in there most days after school,very difficult to walk past without giving in to my DD1 and DD2!

If you fancy meeting up on a Thursday that would be good. I have a 3 1/2 year old little girl, although can't do next week (25th June) as off to Blackpool but any other time is usually fine

I've got a 3 year old girl as well (plus a two year old little sister who tags along ), would be great to meet up. We're going to be away for a couple of weeks but pretty flexible after that.

A few of us meet up every so often already, everyone is welcome - I hope we don't come across as cliquey, none of us new each other before mumsnet!

Catyp it would be nice to meet up.My DD1 is almost 5 and DD2 2.8.I work most days though,and I am in the park most afternoons after 3.15pm(when its really busy!) after picking up DD1 from school.Hard to avoid it really,as I have to walk past it to get home!

Perhaps I could take DD2 there a little earlier,maybe 2.30pm ish one afternoon,as I finish work at 1pm,dash back to pick DD2 up from CM,and grab a quick lunch before I'm out for school run at 3pm.

Not been on the site much lately - but just wanted to say hello to you Catyp!

I live in Great Horkesley is which is not far from the parks you all speak of - so may meet up with you at some point to.

I will be on Maternity in about 6 weeks time so will be desperate for things to do to fill my weeks. Will be watching this space!
