Ha Ha! Yep, I'm lurking in the background! I never get a chance to check on here very often (or at least find I lose hours of my life when I do, so I try not to do it too often!)

Hope you're well and enjoying your summer,
xx

There's also a group called North Down and Ards Mums on Facebook who have recently started organising meet ups which I've been enjoying.

Hello i have just found out I am pregnant with my first child. Have been trying for a while so I am very excited. I am considering paying for private care especially given the recent criticisms in the news of Ulster Hospital maternity care. Does anyone have any experience of private ante natal care in NI? Which consultants do you recommend? What is the rough cost if thats not too rude to ask? thanks

vam1 · 24/01/2011 20:01

I considered going private the cost is around £2500 with Dr Fogarty, you can google him. He is one of the best around. In the end I went to the Ulster and I am glad I did. I did see Dr Fogarty ont eh NHS the second time anyway. I can not fault them from beginning to end. I gave birth most recently nine weeks ago and again from beginning to end they provided fantastic care. Each pregnancy was different and I have raved to everyone about the car both when the new unit opened and In Nov. I also know people who have went private and its really each to there own, I would be very particular and can say I was very happy with the Ulster

Do any of you good ladies arrange an official MN meet-up? I'm in Bangor and would like to meet up with a few MNers if you're up for it?

hillbilly57 · 01/09/2011 12:09

Hi, Just new on this site, have been part of Netmums for over a year and meet some nice friends through that. Just registered and wondering if anyone from Bangor/Netownards area or if any meetups happen?

Lynsey1981 · 23/09/2011 15:13

Hi, I'm from Newtownards and have a 4 wk old baby girl. I'd really be interested to hear of any good mother and baby groups in Ards/Bangor as I can feel cabin fever setting in already!! Does anyone know of any? Thanks!
