Hello Plymouth. 19fran76 here advertising a meet up on The Hoe on Thursday 11am at the train. Devendra is coming but we'd really like to meet some other people too. Anyone interested?

Hi, would love to meet you but thurs is DDs day at nursery, so would feel odd coming without her. I live in Cornwall, and it would be lovely to meet some MNers in real life.

Claire2009 · 16/05/2009 23:54

Dd & Ds are in Playschool at 12.15pm-2.45pm on Thursdays so 11am doesn't give me long.
Another time though!

19fran76 · 17/05/2009 10:16

Hey thingamajig you are most welcome to come along childfree but if you prefer we can arrange another meet up at a later date

Hi Claire2009, I'm sure that Devendra & myself could shift the time if this helps?

Devendra · 17/05/2009 11:58

yes I am very flexible..

pavlovthepregnantcat · 17/05/2009 12:06

I would tentatively say yes, but I am off sick from work at the mo, so depends very much whether I get any more time off work this week. If I do, some fresh air will do me and DD (aged almost) some good, if not will have to make it another time.

Claire2009 · 17/05/2009 12:54

How old are everyone's Lo's ?

pavlovthepregnantcat · 17/05/2009 15:04

...aged almost 3! don't know what happened to the age there! And another one on the way!

19fran76 · 17/05/2009 19:10

Hi Clare2009, pavlovthepregnantcat & Devendra Happy to accept any tentative offers as & when people are able. Hope you're feeling better soon pavlov. My DD is 8 months old. Thumbs up to Devendra for being flexible . So glad that you've taken the time to express some interest.

Lovely

I have a 2yo Ds & 3yo Dd

Ok, so for me. Tues, Weds (all day anytime) & weekends I can do.

19fran76 · 17/05/2009 19:33

I can do Weds anytime also or Tues p.m. Can't speak for Devendra ( although I think I did earlier in the thread )

pavlovthesmugcat · 17/05/2009 20:54

I can do:

If my gp decides I am too ill to go to work next week, and that an ice cream on the hoe is a good idea, I am available any time.

If my gp decides I am able to go back to work I can do tues pm or friday. however I am anticipating telling my boss I need reduced hours for now, so that might be more flexible!!!

(i have been suffering from hyperemesis and just been medicated, so its helping, but not quite there yet hence the vagueness about returning to work)

tigana · 17/05/2009 21:01

I wish I could make it. But am only free evenings and weekends so...

Have fun, whatever day/time you fix on.
Hope it doesn't rain...

pavlovthesmugcat · 17/05/2009 21:02

tigana how goes it across the water?!

tigana · 17/05/2009 21:06

Hi!
Lovely thanks!
Congrats on the pregnancy btw! Sorry to hear it isn't going as unremarkably as it could! Hope meds work.

pavlovthesmugcat · 17/05/2009 21:08

tigana - thank you, it must be improving, I just had a little bit of trifle and it was nice, rather than smelling of yuck like everything has been of late!

tigana · 17/05/2009 21:14

Trifle! That's brave! (or maybe that is just my prejudice based on childhood experience of my Aunt's trifle?!)

pavlovthesmugcat · 17/05/2009 21:18

trifle is my comfort food, that and mash is what i eat if i am ill/bored/sad, but have not been able to even think about it. dh bought some specially as i am eating. There is still time to regret it though

19fran76 · 17/05/2009 21:27

I love trifle tigana I think that I might be up for a night out or even a meet up on the weekend but I want to meet a few people & decide that I like 'em first I must also remember that they may not take a shine to me either

OP posts:
Claire2009 · 17/05/2009 21:41

I can do weekends too (did I already say that?! )

I can't do evenings, kids are in bed for 6.45-7pm and then I'm stuck in unless I get a sitter (single Mummy here).

Pavlov, Hope the meds work & you are feeling better soon!

19fran76 · 17/05/2009 22:01

Yes pavlov I hope the trifle fortifies you.

OP posts:
Devendra · 18/05/2009 08:05

I can do Thurs or Friday anytime.I can usually do weekends but not this one as off to Volksfest. DS is 21 months.

19fran76 · 18/05/2009 18:04

Oooh, all the variables are making my head spin! So if we switch to Friday this week then Pavlov could join us. Should we arrange another meet up on a weekend after this one then most people could make it (theoretically)? P.S. Visiting ice-cream van essential

OP posts:
tigana · 18/05/2009 20:08

Devendra - DH is at Volksfest this w/e. Working. Go watch Cosmo Jarvis play and the slightly stressed looking, stubbly chap in a hoodie, who is sorting them all out (not in the band) is DH!

oooggs · 18/05/2009 20:24

I may be able to come (sorry if I have just invited myself )

19fran76 · 18/05/2009 21:04

Do invite yourself Is that another vote for Friday then?
