My brother worked for them for a while and hated it. Now works in London. I think he made some really good friends but the general work atmosphere he found difficult I think.

It depends. Can you give me a rough idea of area as it varies greatly from one department to another.

The division is Group Corporate and the job type is project/process change management

Hairycaterpillar - what sort of role did your brother have and why did he dislike it so?

ah - should be fine then. Is it an IS role? Because the grades are 21, 22, 23 then benefits conditions change at 24+.

Otherwise the grades would be 8 upwards I think with no changes in benefits.

Flex time (yay) usual core hours scenario. My maternity info is out od date - never went back!

I worked there a few years ago in a similar department and found it a positive experience. I've worked in several other Scottish FS companies and enjoyed this the most out of all of them, as I was just part of a great team and project at that time. Re benefits ? major positives for me was flexitime and location ? mostly based in city centre rather than new HQ or business park on outskirts of town. My other benefits were average to market (mat leave, bonus, t's & c's). HTH
