Hello,

Can anyone recommend a joiner in the Lambeth area? Nothing fancy - I just need to have a new back door made.

(I used to live in Lambeth - we now live in Prague, but I still have my flat in Lambeth, just off South Lambeth Road, and my tenants are reporting that the back door is rotting!)

Waving to everyone in the area....

Thank you!

Is it an odd size? Does it need to be made for you? We got some nice doors from Select-a-Door in Penge (our front door is much nicer than our neighbours' and cost about half what theirs did, brag brag).

Thanks a lot, MadBad. As far as I know it's a bog-standard size, so I was also wondering where we could get ready-made doors (I think the frame is going to need replacing as well).

I'll look up Select-a-door - they might have someone to fit it, as well.

Yes, they will.

YES!

I had a problem with my original 1930s french windows being v rotted at the bottom, I thought it would cost ££££s to have new ones made, and a brilliant local joiner made an invisible join putting in new wood to replace the rotted panels. He was extremely professional and reliable. His name is Paul, 0208 674 8583, mob 07986 387278. He lives in Streatham Hill. Really nice honest guy.
