Hi

We've just moved to St John's with our 10 month old and know no one. He has a morning and afternoon nap, which means we're not ready to face the outside world until after about 14.30 by which point there does not seem to be anything happening! Does anyone know of anything or are you in the same position and would welcome some company in the afternoon?

Hope to hear from your soon.

Hi Rosie - Can't help with the afternoon activities, but wanted to say hello. I work in Worcester and live about half an hour away from Worcester. I have one dd who is 4 and a half.

Keep an eye out for the regular evening meet-ups. We meet at the Swan at Whittington (without children) for a meal about every 2 months or so.

Here is the thread about the next Worcester area meet-up - hope you can come.

Hi ! I can't help either, but live 15 mins from Worcester - my DS is 3 next month.

If you fancied meeting in town for a coffee one Saturday, just CAT me

Washersaurus · 17/04/2009 20:57

Hi, I'm in worcester with my 21 mo and 3.9 yo DS'. My boys are probably a bit too old (and scary) for you, but we are sometimes around in the afternoons if you fancy a cuppa.

Good afternoon activities are; the Library in town, which has a lovely cafe and children's activity area in the museum upstairs; the swimming pool has toddler splash and general swim session in their little teaching pool on a couple of afternoons (I know Friday pm definitely)

The new play area in Cripplegate park is a fantastic place to meet people and has all new equipment - I have walked down there a couple of times recently and I live right on the other side of town, up a hill!

Hi I'm in Malvern and have 4.3 yo DD and 22 mo DD. You are very welcome to CAT me and I can fill you in on all the Malvern toddler groups etc. Splash in Malvern runs baby swimming classes which both of mine have done (DD2 still does) - these are good places to meet people.
We are usually in inthe afternoons if you fancy meeting up but as Washersaurus already said my DDs may be too old and too scary for you

rosiemonster there is a ball pit in st johns called Little Acorns which caters for younger ones too. I live in st johns and have been there before, it is not he best but nice for kids, not sure if 10 months is too young for or not but there is a toddler area.
manor farm pub is also good as has a ball pit but this is also more for the older child but I do often go there. I have add aged 3.5 and a baby 6 months old.
Let me know if you want a meet up at all.

Hi all
Thanks for your responses (afraid I can't work out how to get back to you individually). Really impressed that you are looking out for other mums! Can't make this month's meet up, but would love to come to future ones.

Tried out Cripplegate the other afternoon - think I enjoyed the swings more than baby but sure he'll get used to it.

Hadn't heard of Little Acorns - will give it a go.

Jenwa - as you are local - fancy a cuppa one afternoon?

Little Acorns soft play has been recommended to me by several local parents (local to me, not especially to St Johns!) - it is opposite the VW/Audi dealerships on Bromyard Road (we haven't been yet - were supposed to go yesterday but it got postponed)

Littlefish · 30/04/2009 20:07

Sorry you can't make this meet up - keep an eye out for the next one.

BTW - you don't need to reply individually unless you desperately (sp) want to - most people check back to threads they've contributed to.

Hi rosie
Yes sounds good, do you want to meet at park or somewhere else? Cant do Tuesdays and DD2 is at playgroup til 3:15 on a weds but could work around that if needed?

rosiemonster · 21/05/2009 20:34

Jenwa
Sorry, family crisis intervened. Is Thurs pm good for you? That said, I can now get out and about for an hour or so in the morning (as we are now sleeping through the night- hurrah!), and am free on Tuesdays, Thurs and Fris.
