Hi everyone

Does anyone fancy doing a sling meet in Newcastle sometime soon? Im a total novice and would love to meet other babywearers before my second babe arrives in May.

Maybe somewhere with nice cakes!!

xx

OK...not about the sling meet but a bit of advice needed. I have a 10 month old who is about 9.5kg and a 2 1/2 year old. My eldest was out of the pushchair v early, but now she sees her brother in it she wants to go back in when she is tired. I used to have a Bushbaby coccoon front carrier, which I loved, but he got too heavy and the straps started to give way. I have been looking at getting a back carrier, just a lightweight one, not the rigid metal frame things. Something I could pop in the bottom of the pushchair and use it for my son if my daughter wanted a rest, or could pop in boot of the car for walks in the park etc. I hate pushing the pushchair and loved having him on me!! I have seen a Patapum and a Mei Tai which will take his weight, I just don't know what type to go for. It needs to be easy to put on, I am on my own most of the time with the 2 kids and don't want to rely on others to put him in it or hold him while I fasten it onto me. Anyway, any recommendations or advice would be greatly received!
