Welcome to Colchester Mumsnet.

There is a Eureka class on North Hill on Wednesdays. Sparkly Princess may be able to tell you more about that.

Have you tried the NCT group on a Friday at the Quaker Meeting House? Its not every week, but its central and cheap.

Where abouts do you live? There may be a local Toddler Group about. I tend to go to my local one on a Friday.

If not you could join us all at our next meet up. There are 2 other new people on here that will probably try and come along next time we all meet up.

Jently lives out your way so she might be able to give you some details of local groups. Have you tried the NCT coffee morning things, or is that not what you are after?

Do you drive? If you do then there is a list of all the toddler groups in Kiddaround (which I think is also on line). The children enjoy the one in Copford, but as all Toddler Groups can be, it is rather cliquey. It goes through phases really...but its not too bad.

rugratsmum · 11/03/2009 14:20

Yeh i do drive and just want something that will entertain my little one and that he will enjoy. Cliquey is something i can't be bothered with though, why does it have to get like that??

I suppose its just that the mums with kids of the same age start to get to know each other and then stay closer friends. Having two meant that I couldn't (and didn't really want to) join in with one group in particular. It is fine really though and there is a large group of ladies with young ones like yours...so may be worth a try.

I'll probably be going this Friday if you want to look out for the scruffy mother wandering around on her own

rugratsmum · 11/03/2009 14:56

thanks, could you please give me some more details about friday, times, place, price, etc and i will see if i can make it.
thanks for all your help

Have you tried Little Giggles, fab pay as you go class at the Dance School in Mile End

rugratsmum · 26/03/2009 15:47

What ages do the little giggles classes start as my little one is only 6 months and most of the classes ive found are for older children.

I think it was about 4/5 months - I started when my little one was about 6 months but I remember there were littlys there. Unfortunately I had to go back to work so can't go anymore but my son loved it. I just stuck 'little giggles colchester' into google and their website came up if you need more info

rugratsmum · 26/03/2009 17:28
