Can anyone recommend a dentist in Crouch End?

I need some dental work done and wondered if anyone knew a good dentist in Crouch End. I was thinking of going to the Weston Park Dental Surgeons - does anyone have any experiences of them? Thanks!

Park Road Dental Practice (nearly opposite Park Road Pool)> Ask for NIck. I have tried many dentists but found him 10 years ago (recommendation from friend). He is the best in the business.

I've been going to Weston Park for years, and think they're really good. I've never had a filling though so can't vouch for the dental work they actually do, only that they don't so anything unnecessarily, would highly recommend them. I see Mr Zaina.

I go to the dentist on Crouch Hall Road here

I'm an NHS patient and I've always had a very good service. It's a lovely clinic and the dentist seems to know what he's doing.

Yep, loads . Both privately and NHS.

Previously had poor advice/ work done. I have had:
fillings/ bridge work and crowns.

He is very skilled, gentle. I went with him as previous dentists had adviced unnecessary work/ surgery. The work he has done has lasted and been problem free.

Most of my friends/ family now see him and it might be that his books are closed as small business with large caseload but I couldn't recommend highly enough.

SparkyFartDust · 09/03/2009 20:38

by the way the previous bad advice/ work was from other local dentists (slightly phobic so I tried a few!).

oh sorry minkyboragel just realised you'd already given me a name

Another vote for Crouch Hall Road! Rob is a top-notch dentist.

Really overdue to go myself, actually

wobbegong · 10/03/2009 16:30

Maybe be sure who you ask for at Crouch Hall Road. I had a very poor experience there about two years ago. Hopefully the guy has moved on. It wasn't Rob.

Put it this way, when a dentist takes personal calls on his mobile during your exam, then announces you need three fillings when you have never had a filling before in your life, then tries to do work on you without gaining your consent and is bolshy when you decline....

All a bit difficult. I now travel out of the area to a different dentist (who BTW said I didn't need fillings YAY ).

Aranea · 10/03/2009 16:44

Wow, wobbegong, that's pretty shocking. I think I might try SparkyFartDust's recommendation - sounds fab. And I am a bit scared as my tooth seems to be disintegrating! Yuk.
