Guildford dentist recommendation?

Can anyone recommend a dentist in Guildford for first visit for children? Preferably taking NHS patients, preferably central Guildford... but private and/or less central would be fine if good. Thanks

private dentists often take children on the nhs, until they leave full time education.

i know the one i use in my village (about 8 miles from guildford|) does

We go to Mr Jones in Bramley and he is excellent with children but that it a few miles from Guildford. Private but children on NHS.

Thanks Lou and BusyBee, useful info and if I can't find a recommended dentist in Guildford may try Bramley or Witley. Has anybody else tried any of the 3 or so practices on the corner of London Road and York Road in Guildford? Would be very handy if any of these were good!

I went to a pretty bad NHS dentist on London Road and afterwards reluctantly decided I had to go private, for the first time in my life, (and annoyingly when I am not working so my employer isn't paying for me to go privately!)

Anyway as an adult I can recommend Dr. Yavari, 44 London Road, Guildford, 01483 440563, but I am afraid I don't know his position on taking children. I am on as a private patient until they have some more NHS capacity available in the future.

He's dealt really well and sensitvely to my partner's potentially painful root canal treatment, so if he does take children as NHS patients I imagine he would be good with them.

Simon Birch at Gables Surgery London Road - kids on NHS if you go private. Couldn't speak more highly of him

Oasis dentist London road - took my 3 year old when I had a private check up to introduce her to the dentist chair. All good though I was a little late and that really didn't go down well. However, good with my 3 yr old. Not sure if they take NHS children but think they said that.
