Okay, as I haven't seen everybody for blinking ages I thought I'd host a meet up. However, my beautiful DD is 1 very soon - big , so I thought I would combine the two...

So, how about a meetup at mine on Wednesday 15th April, DD's first birthday? I was thinking of the afternoon, with a few of my other friends and their babies as well if that's ok? There will be birthday cake and everything

Let me know numbers so I know how much cake to buy make

Looking forward to it

MrsMagooo · 08/03/2009 08:14

We will be there with bells on

Will come straight from picking up DD up from nursery!

Sawyer64 · 08/03/2009 10:41

Is Nursery on MrsM?
Easter Holidays are from 6th-20th April.

Mung · 08/03/2009 17:16

Sorry...I can't make it that day. Have fun!

MrsMagooo · 08/03/2009 22:15

It is yes, DDs nursery only closes for Christmas

Sawyer64 · 08/03/2009 22:19

Oh I see, handy for if you go back to work.

MrsMagooo · 09/03/2009 10:06

Doubtful as my place of work is now going to be a travelodge

SparklyPrincess · 09/03/2009 13:15

Sounds great - we'll be there! Can't believe she's nearly 1! And my littlie's nearly 2! How did that happen??

PF - do you want me to pick you up? No trouble as long as you can fit car seats cos I'm hopeless at it!

Saz126 · 09/03/2009 21:17

Hi Jently, unfortunately will be working. Hope you have a lovely day

purpleflower · 10/03/2009 10:18

That would be great please SP, thank you.

I can fit the car seat no problem, we used to have to swap 1 between 2 cars so I got used to it lol.

JentlyDoesIt · 10/03/2009 20:07

Oooh, really pleased so many can make it!

Pooter - you have clearly not tried anybody elses creations but for you, I shall make the fairy cakes again

Mung and Saz - no worries x

Hoping it's a nice day so we can all spill into the garden again...

pooter · 10/03/2009 20:12

mmmmm your booby fairy cakes were yummy!
will write it in my diary so i dont forget. (only 2wks till easter holiday - yipeeee)

Sawyer64 · 10/03/2009 20:51

Yes seconded Jently!Yummy !!

You had bright pink "icing" in them IIRC,that didn't taste like Butter Icing.

I tried last week with DD1 to put whipping cream in some Fairy Cakes, put some pink food colouring in with it and it all curdled!!! LOL.

So just had to use pink Butter icing as usual.

Angiewoo · 11/03/2009 08:01

We'd love to come along too if you don't mind, sounds great.

I can find out from Mrs M where you live etc and probably give her a lift.

Thank you xx

JentlyDoesIt · 11/03/2009 09:00

Angie - of course I don't mind, will be great to see you again and I'm sure Mrs M would love the lift

Sawyer - it was just normal food colouring whipped up with double cream and a little sugar to help the cream hold - damn, now I've given my secret away

OP posts:
Sawyer64 · 11/03/2009 12:09

Oh,I shall have to try that then, thankyou.Maybe mine curdled because I didn't use sugar,or maybe Whipped Cream is "unstable"?!

MrsMagooo · 11/03/2009 14:48

Angie that would be fabby, sure you don't mind?

Pretty easy to get to Jentlys in the car

Jently lovely anything we can bring to help out??

Sawyer64 · 11/03/2009 16:23

Can you Email me directions please Jently, and can I bring anything too?

lucyfer2000 · 11/03/2009 19:57

Hello Jently. I also cannot believe your DD is nearly one!! Just shows how long it has been since we have seen you - as she was definitly pretty tiny last time I saw her!!

Can't make the party i'm afraid as i'm sure i will be doing something devastatingly boring interesting at work!!

Have a fab time!!

JentlyDoesIt · 13/03/2009 08:18

Lucy - try not to have too much fun at work

I last saw most of you at Christmas but most of you haven't seen DD since she was about 3 months old

Sawyer - I'll fb you directions, it's very easy

MissisBoot · 13/03/2009 08:38

Hi Jently

What a lovely idea - unfortunately we can't make it as its dd's birthday on that day!

Can't believe she is a year old already!

JentlyDoesIt · 18/03/2009 14:05

Wow MissisBoot - didn't realise our DD's shared a birthday Hope you have a fab day too...

As for bringing anything, any little bits of "party" food would be great. I'm going to do the big cake, little "booby" cakes for Pooter and Sawyer and crisps and sandwiches. So anything really if that's ok. However, please don't feel you have to bring anything, there will be plenty
